Euro Gulf Communications is a strategic advisory boutique operating across the GCC, Asia, and Europe. Our registered principal office is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We operate across multiple jurisdictions and are committed to the responsible handling of personal data wherever we work.
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent data protection legislation, Euro Gulf Communications acts as the data controller in respect of personal data collected through this website and through our advisory engagements.

GDPR Applicability
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your personal data is processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) and, where applicable, the UK GDPR and Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. Information we collect
We collect personal data only where it is necessary and proportionate to the purpose for which it is collected. This may include:
- Identity & contact data your name, job title, company name, email address, telephone number, and postal address, where you provide these voluntarily through our website contact forms or in the course of an engagement.
- Professional information your LinkedIn profile or other professional online presence, where relevant to an advisory relationship.
- Communications data records of correspondence between us, including emails and meeting notes.
- Technical & usage data your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, referral source, and time spent on our site, collected automatically via cookies and server logs when you visit our website.
- Marketing preferences your preferences regarding receipt of communications from us.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health information, political opinions, or financial account numbers) through this website. Please do not submit such information through our contact forms.

- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) where you have freely given clear consent, for example when subscribing to our communications or accepting non-essential cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) where processing is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation to which we are subject.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of a third party, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. Our legitimate interests include managing business relationships, improving our services, and operating our website securely. We carry out a balancing test before relying on this basis.

Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data. We will respond to all valid requests within one month (extendable to three months in complex cases), as required by GDPR.
Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how we use it.
Rectification
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data without undue delay.
Erasure
Request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue processing it.
Restriction
Ask us to suspend processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, for example while accuracy is contested.
Portability
Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format and transfer it to another controller.
Objection
Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing. We will stop unless we can demonstrate compelling grounds.
Withdraw consent
Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
Complaint
Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with applicable law.

How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only in the following circumstances and only to the extent necessary:
- Service providers trusted third-party vendors who process data on our behalf under binding data processing agreements (e.g. website hosting, email delivery, analytics). These parties may only use your data for the specific purpose for which it was shared.
- Professional advisers lawyers, accountants, and insurers, where necessary for the operation of our business.
- Legal or regulatory authorities where we are required to disclose data by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Euro Gulf Communications, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance where required by law.
Any third parties who receive your data are required to handle it in compliance with applicable data protection law and our instructions.

International transfers
Euro Gulf Communications operates across the GCC, Asia, and Europe. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area, including the UAE, which the European Commission has not designated as providing an adequate level of data protection equivalent to EU standards.
Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or UK to a third country, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:
- Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
- Binding corporate policies or other legally approved transfer mechanisms where applicable.

Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or disclosure. These include access controls, encrypted transmission (TLS), and restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security against all threats. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by GDPR (within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach).

Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
- Client and enquiry data retained for the duration of the engagement and for up to 7 years thereafter, in accordance with commercial and legal record-keeping requirements.
- Marketing and contact data retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. We honour unsubscribe requests promptly and retain only a minimal suppression record to prevent future re-subscription without your consent.
- Website analytics data typically retained for up to 26 months in aggregate or anonymised form.
- Cookie consent records retained for 12 months from the date of consent.
When personal data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.

If you are based in the EEA or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In the UAE, you may contact the UAE Data Office. A list of EU supervisory authorities is maintained by the European Data Protection Board.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The date of the most recent revision appears at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
